What Should I Wear to the Wedding?

“What should I wear to the wedding?”

So, you’ve heard that before or even muttered it yourself?

In the spiritual realm, we intrinsically know that we need to change into nicer clothes - not for show, but for the appropriateness of the event. We further feel that dress threads somehow make us more polished; cleaner.

But how do we know what to change into? It would be a nightmare if we didn’t know how to dress our spirits.

Fortunately, the nuances of our attire are clearly laid out in the person of Christ.

And by the way, we really do need to know how to dress for a wedding.

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: Christlikeness is a task and yet it is also the greatest of privileges. When thought about like that, it becomes an honor to get rid of our old garb instead of clinging to them.

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.…Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh…“But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless. “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”…Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”—
