Since The Garden of Eden, we were meant to give thanks and praise when it was easy. Now, we’re in the fight of our lives because Satan still rehearses and polishes his line: “Is God really good?”
While tending the physical garden seemed to be Adam and Eve’s main job description, it appears that tending their hearts had gone to the weeds.
This biblical warning is not to be ignored: “Guard your heart above all else [with all diligence, vigilance], for it determines the course of your life.”*
When we wrestle our flesh into a lifestyle of thanksgiving, it is very hard to fall for the lines, “Did God really say?” Or “Does God really have the best for me?”
PORTAL TO HEAVEN: To see God or not see God in my garden, that is the question.
