"If" Can Be a Two-Letter Swear Word

Updated: Apr 16, 2021

“Uncle Bob, you should start a podcast,” prompted my encouraging niece.

Still, I continued to mull it over.

Podcasts are almost audiobooks or Cliff Notes on-the-fly. They can be funny or serious, ad-libbed or fairly scripted, soliloquy’s or interviews and offer help or entertainment or enlightenment or…

There are also millions of them and that’s intimidating. It’s like try-outs and auditions; you're confident until you see the masses!

But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!” But Jesus said to him, “‘If You can?’ All things are possible for the one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father cried out and said, “I do believe; help my unbelief!”... Jesus said, “If? There are no ‘ifs’ among believers. Anything can happen.” No sooner were the words out of his mouth than the father cried, “Then I believe. Help me with my doubts!” Mark 9:23,24 MSG, NASB (Editor’s emphasis)
