"I’ve been remote for 10 years,” said the IT guy on the other end of the phone. He was also at the other end of the country even though I was dealing with a company in the next state. This pleasant geek was in his house before barking dogs in the background was the new normal. It would be hard to imagine that he was freaked out by recent work options. Before there were airplanes, people would have been scared out of their wits to sit in a seat with nothing below them but clouds. Of course, the difference is that we are being forced into a new normal. Many miss the interaction of an office or schoolroom or restaurant or whatever. Our IT man isn’t afraid because he’s already been where you and I may have to go. May those who have a little trepidation be relieved that the technical assistance I received was successful and we were able to chat about the differences between New York’s weather and his climate in Arizona. Each of us will face the new normal of heaven or hell. If you’re going Jesus’ way, He’s already there, sitting on a throne with only clouds beneath Him.
PORTAL TO HEAVEN: God has given us a Savior for those who receive Him. He points the way to a place where we are headed and assures us that it is anything but normal.
He sent a man before them— Joseph—who was sold as a slave…He made his ways known to Moses…"See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared…When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.
