Between the election cycle and COVID, it has become clear that there are choices in America.
It makes one wonder about the definition of freedom. For Christ said that when He gives it, true freedom sets you free indeed. Yet, that freedom is based on being a son or daughter of God.
Overall, freedom might be defined as the right to disagree with another person. On the other hand, freedom might be the idea of unity - such as we saw after 911.
A great way to practice true freedom for the Christian is to see the sharp disagreement we have with a neighbor, co-worker or family member as an opportunity to love rather than hate or belittle.
The moment we put them into our ideological prison, we’ve locked ourselves in as well and prisons are not what Jesus had in mind for his sons and daughters.
PORTAL TO HEAVEN: True freedom wasn’t invented by any one nation. Jesus is the one who truly sets free and when we live in that reality, we know what He meant by “Indeed.”
Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:35,36 NIV
