Although Bound by This Earth For Now, We Can Be “Tuning Up.”

Jesus=Prosody.


When any art form deliberately or inadvertently matches or mismatches or blends or counterpoints with precision, an emotional upheaval takes place in the senses of the audience of one or a million.


Jesus is the perfect representation of heaven and what should have been Adam’s legacy. He is the exact opposite of the flesh of earth. How could it be that the God could fit into the body of fallen man?

But the prosody of heaven inspired Handel’s “Messiah” which has more than a few lessons on the highs and lows of our emotive centers.

If Jesus were to appear, you would hear heaven’s song through earthly ears. Those who have encountered the intertwining of The Word (Logos in Greek, the written word of God) and The Word (Rhema, the spoken word of God) have experienced the ultimate prosody. When you and The Bible meet a personal word or revelation, you fully understand why Jesus is “The Word” and really, “The Song of Songs."


Songwriters deeply feel their responsibility to accurately marry emotion, truth, lyric and melody at a holy altar. For now, we will write as much as we can see and sense while carrying the heavy burden of a heaven-earth dichotomy partially blocking perfected poetry and notes.

But there will come a time when everyone who sees Jesus in heaven will become even more accurate than Handel, The Psalter and the greatest of earth-bound musical interpreters who have ever attempted to mesh word and strain.

We will have perfect pitch singularly and as a multitude because we will actually see prosody Himself.

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: Although bound by this earth for now, we can be “tuning up.”
