If Only God Would Sell Out

Black Friday is one of the greatest portals to heaven that fallen man inadvertently created.

It was on a black Friday that Jesus went “on sale.”

It was the bargain of a lifetime for the blackness of every soul was welcome to be washed. Even a staunch atheist would have to concede that a God putting himself on sale is an incredible concept.

Every time you see a Black Friday “on sale” sign, you’ll be looking straight into a portal to heaven. For one sign could make you think of how Jesus sold himself for your jealousy. A loud red sale sign might make you ponder how his blood dripped over your pettiness, greed, lying, lust or control. Some big sign strewn across a window might thrill you to think that you could peer through with clarity into heaven.

A long line waiting for the latest-greatest television or Xbox holiday bundle might remind you that there are plenty who don't yet know of Jesus' "narrow road."

And the savings…our souls.

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: God can turn even the greed and selfishness of turning the incarnation into a thirty-day gluttonous shopping spree into an eye-popping sign of the times and a display of “saving” in the midst of sin.

When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.

Colossians 2:15 (NASB)
