What Brilliance Reflects

(THIS WEEK: Backside of the Baby)

“Nobody’s perfect?” Oh, yeah…

“Everything must be done with excellence,” he says.

“One mistake, and the missile hits civilians,” the director of research declares.

“If there is an error, she dies on the operating table,” the chief surgeon warns.

If you are one, you’re tough on yourself…because nobody’s perfect. If you live or work with one, you can never seem to live up to their idea of what’s “correct.”

But when you look out your 40th floor balcony, aren’t you glad the engineers and architects who designed your building were detail-oriented?

Whether it’s the latest vaccine or the newest tech device or craziest (and totally unnecessary) and greatest contraption or the ingenious “green” breakthrough, you can bet your bottom dollar that a High-C was behind it.

From theology to philosophy to science to the arts, these thinker-personalities have amassed most of the life-changers that you and I now take for granted.

Their brains are wired for thinking and that is the backside of the baby. They are very prone to depression, they often over-think, are notoriously slow at projects, sometimes isolate and often judge others as inferior.

Does that sound like a person you’d want to hang with? The answer: you’ll have no choice.

These contemplative persons are out of necessity all around because every organization needs them. In fact, in our tech world, many businesses or groups were founded by them!

Nobody’s perfect, but these guys and gals usually raise the bar for the rest of us.

PORTAL TO HEAVEN: The High-C person brings the perfection of God into view through progressive sneak-previews of what we will see in heaven by showing us God’s brilliance in the everyday. The botanist who reveals something new or those who plumb the minutia of the ocean’s floor all bring clarity to the greatness of God’s mind. And even at that, there is so much room for mystery - the very thing that spurs this personality on to the next thing!

‘Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?’…Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand…Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea or walked in the recesses of the deep?To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ.
