The Most Important Days of Your Life

"The two most important days of your life are the day you were born and the day you discover why you were born." Mark Twain

For the Christ follower, it may be the three most important days of your life, the day you were born, the day you were born again, and the day you know why. As followers of Jesus it's important to know why we were saved by Christ. What was God's purpose? God's purpose was to recreate us(Rom.8:29) so that he may make his appeal through us. That we would become his ambassadors so that the world, those who don't know Jesus, may know and believe in Him. “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.” 2 Corinthians 5:20 ESV

I believe it is important for the Christ follower to understand this concept. This life is not our own - we have been bought with a price and that price was Christ's life (1 Corinthians 6:20 ). The purpose we have is making Christ known. How does this play out? Well, we have a creative God and He uses all our unique differences for his glory in drawing people to Himself. The “how” we discover in many different ways. But the why for every one of us is the same. This is why God has made us uniquely different so we can reach a variety of people whom He desires to know Him - whom He desires to come to know Him through repentance. This is why it is important that the Body of Christ be so varied; to have the wide variety of gifts of Grace so that the world may believe that Jesus has been sent. So, you and I are recreated so that people who do not yet know Jesus may come to know Him.

Our Prayer - Father in heaven, may you bring a strong conviction to each one of us that we are Your ambassadors and that we are recreated that You may make Your appeal through us that those who do not know You might see You and be drawn to You. Lord, we are Yours and Yours alone. Our life is not our own it belongs to You. Lord we pray that You use us in a significant way to let others know about You.
